Italian Easter bread is traditionally a yeast and egg-leavened bread that is a little sweet with citrus notes. It is braided, similar to challah, and adorned with a dyed egg in the center. This version has a homemade vegan white chocolate egg in the center that is just way too adorable.

20. Creamy Vegan Mushroom and Orzo

This orzo recipe is about as close as you can come to mushroom risotto without having to labor over the pot while it cooks. Cashew cream is what marries the pasta and mushrooms. Vegan truffle butter finishes the dish and elevates what is otherwise a true comfort food to the next level making it one of my favorite vegan Easter recipes.

24. Mushroom Asparagus Risotto

While everyone else is grilling hotdogs, why not show them a vegan in action. Skewer a parboiled and spiced carrot and grill it to perfection. Then tuck it into a yeast roll and top with fresh chickpea salad. Watch them all drool.

Did someone say perfect Easter side dish? These potatoes served with roasted garlic over whipped vegan feta cheese are it. Baby or fingerling potatoes are especially creamy when oven roasted. Taking the time to roast the garlic ensures that the natural sugars will caramelize while the cloves become buttery soft.

If more people stir-fried carrots in ribbons, I suspect cooked carrots would be way more popular. Prepared that way, they don’t have a chance to get mushy and overcooked. Add a little red onion, salt and pepper and you have a side dish people will remember.

Crisps are one of the best and easiest holiday desserts to pull together using whatever is in season. Rhubarb fits that bill for spring. Adding a few scoops of ice cream really makes it a well-rounded treat.

45. Vegan Limoncello Tiramisu

I love this lighter take on a traditional tiramisu with lady fingers, lemon curd, and limoncello. It is super easy to assemble and then you just allow it to rest in the fridge until the lemon has saturated all the layers.

There’s nothing like a trick of the eye. At first glance, these tarts appear to be an Easter treat with a bright yellow egg yolk sitting in their center. But no! They’re really peaches, y’all, and they’re couched in sinfully delicious coconut custard atop a flaky tart crust.
